Coach Weiss, his staff, and our STATE CHAMPION Viking Football Team have given the entire district a super morale boost!

We finally have a board president and a few board members with the whole system in mind and hopefully the guts to do what it's going to take. I hope they get enough help to turn the system around.(gm)

Teachers throughout the district are among the very best. They are almost uniformly well educated, very hard working, competent, caring and proficient.

No matter how much things change over time, some things NEVER change (scroll to see pic in UPPER RIGHT) i guess times are still the same as the old high school.

Most lines of communication throughout the system are poor at best.

Administration and the "Bored" of Ed. are "shooting-from-the-hip" again, (re: test score punishment)... the whole system needs to be revamped. If it weren't for the lackadaisical attitudes of most the "Bored" and most admins. and most parents over the past 20 years this could still be the best school system around instead of bringing-up-the-rear. I don't see anyone in authority with the gonads to do what it is going to take. (gm) [see new note under good]

Perhaps a little change in the facade of the adm. building might be in order. Did anyone really think getting rid of people and switching people around would change things for the better (above right.) (gm)

Against Bd. and District policies certain Home Instruction teachers have been teaching groups of H.I. students in various locations other than the students' homes and without any parental or guardian supervision, they must be falsifying their reports because Administration would certainly not allow this practice to continue.

Our school district doesn't need to worry about the y2k bug, things can't possibly get any worse.

...the district's dilemmas are almost solely attributable to inept management, now compounded by B.O.E. politics and micromanagement.

The PC computers for a business dept. lab at the HS have not arrived as of Oct. 1st!

AC Board voted to give Frank Siracusa & Son the Medical Insurance for another year without putting it out to bid. for an increase of between 10% and 14%

if this school system was a big business it would be bankrupt because of mismanagement

computers for the computer labs supposedly weren't ordered until after labor day

the reason the state is going to take over the schools is because of a lousy bd. of ed and adm.
